Lindsey Tomlin, MS, LPC Associate
Play Therapist
My Approach
I’m passionate about helping children, teens, and parents feel understood and supported as they navigate life’s challenges. I create a warm, accepting space where your child can safely express big feelings, explore their inner world, and feel valued for exactly who they are.
Using evidence-based Child-Centered Play Therapy, I help children work through emotional challenges and difficult experiences like anxiety, divorce, illness, grief, and life transitions. Because caregivers are an important part of lasting change, I’ll also work alongside you to better understand your child, build on their strengths, and strengthen your connection through tools like Child-Parent Relationship Therapy.
I believe children have an incredible capacity to grow when they feel truly accepted and understood, and it’s a privilege to help families experience greater confidence, connection, and well-being.
Education & Training
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, supervised by Kimberly King, Ph.D., LPC-S, RPT-S. I earned both my M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and bachelor’s in Human Development and Family Science from the University of North Texas, along with a certificate in Trauma-Informed Care and specialized training in Child-Centered Play Therapy and Child-Parent Relationship Therapy.
My experience includes working with children, tweens and teens, adults, and parents navigating aggression, social and separation anxiety, trauma, emotional regulation, big feelings, and life transitions. Supporting those affected by chronic illness or disability, as well as caregivers, holds an especially meaningful place in my heart.
I’m currently pursuing my Registered Play Therapist™ (RPT) credential as I continue strengthening my work with children and families.
