Play Therapist

My Approach

I believe that when your child is met with empathy, warmth, and consistency, they have an innate capacity for healing and growth. I strive to create a safe, playful, and supportive environment where your child can express themselves freely, build emotional awareness, and strengthen their sense of self. My approach is individualized and holistic, recognizing the importance of tailoring treatment to your child’s unique needs while also supporting the wellbeing of the whole family.

I have experience working with neurodiverse children, as well as children and families who are navigating challenges such as self-esteem, emotional regulation, aggression, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I also value the essential role that you, as a caregiver, play in the therapeutic process. My goal is to work collaboratively with you to promote lasting healing and connection with your child.

Education & Training

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor – Associate, supervised by Sheila D. Thompson, LPC-S, RPT-S. I earned my Master of Science in Counseling from the University of North Texas and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology, with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies, from Bowling Green State University.

I am currently pursuing my Registered Play Therapist™ (RPT) credential. My clinical work is grounded in developmentally appropriate, evidenced-based practices to best support your child and parenting relationship.
