Kimberly King, Ph.D., LPC-S, RPT-S

Play Therapist

My Approach

I have a heart for children and adolescents. My goal is to provide a safe, caring space for children to play out their experiences through the language of play therapy. I have seen so many children gain self-esteem, have less depression and anxiety, and develop a deeper sense of who they are. Through play therapy, children gain a stronger sense of control over their experiences and build resiliency for the future. Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) is supported by decades of clinical research, randomized controlled trials, and meta-analyses demonstrating its effectiveness as an empirically supported mental health intervention.

I have worked with many parents, and I have loved seeing how play transforms their relationships with their children. I provide support and training in the areas parents ask for, whether it is in setting limits or providing coping strategies for anxiety at home. I look forward to being a part of your journey towards a calmer and more peaceful home.
