Emily Hatley, MA, LPC Associate

Play Therapist

My Approach

When your child feels anxious, frustrated, or disconnected, I offer a gentle, encouraging space where they can feel safe to explore and grow.

My work is grounded in a child-centered approach that helps kids express big emotions, strengthen self-esteem, and build tools for resilience—both in therapy and in their day-to-day lives. I also walk alongside parents, offering guidance and practical tools that foster healthy development at home and at school.

I believe that with the right support, every child has the capacity to thrive, and every family deserves a space where healing is possible.

Education & Training

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, supervised by Bethany Moss, LPC-S.

I hold a B.S. in Human Development and Family Science from Oklahoma State University and an M.A. in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. My experience includes providing therapy to children and teens experiencing anxiety, ADHD, emotional regulation challenges, and low self-esteem. I’ve also worked with youth facing homelessness at Dallas LIFE, where I taught psychoeducational classes on topics like boundary-setting, self-compassion, and emotional awareness.

I’m actively pursuing advanced training in play therapy and committed to growing as a clinician so I can best support the children and families I serve.
