Play Therapist
My Approach
If your child struggles with big emotions or behaviors that are hard to understand, and you struggle to communicate and feel connected with them, I am here to walk alongside your family so you feel seen and heard.
My work is guided by an evidence-based child-centered approach, with the belief that all children are unique, resilient, and capable of growth. Through the use of therapeutic play, I work with children as they make sense of the world around them, process their emotions, and develop self-awareness. I believe that when children are met where they are at, in a place where they feel safe and understood, they are able to discover their strengths and move towards positive development.
I also work closely with parents, providing guidance and tools that empower you with confidence, help you understand your child’s needs, and foster stronger connections within your family.
Education & Training
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, supervised by Heena Khan, LPC-S, RPT-S™, PMH-C, CYT.
I received my M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas and hold a B.S. in Psychology and a Texas Educator certification from the University of Texas at Dallas. My experience includes teaching children and adolescents, and serving as a therapist in school and clinic settings. I have worked with clients from diverse family systems and who struggle with emotional regulation, anxiety, ADHD, and trauma. I am passionate about providing children with supportive environments that foster growth and connection, and working with family and school systems to help children thrive in all areas of their lives.
